Stručný popis:
"Plant-O-Grams" project was a fun and creative activity for elementary school children to learn about the basics of photography and nature! We talked about the basic concept of photograms to the children: a photogram is a photographic image made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the light-sensitive paper and exposing it to light. The objects block the light from reaching the paper, creating a silhouette of their shape.
The children arrange their materials on light-sensitive paper in a creative way. Encouraging them to experiment with different arrangements and see what effects they can create. Once the photograms were arranged, we placed them in a sunny spot to expose them for about 20 minutes. During this time, the light-sensitive paper darkened where it is exposed to light, creating an image of the objects on the paper. After the exposure time was up, we removed the objects from the paper. The areas that were blocked by the objects will remain white, while the exposed areas will be dark.
Finally, we scanned the photograms and printed them on a home printer to create a physical copy of the children's creations.
This activity is a great way to engage children's creativity and teach them about basic photography concepts while also encouraging them to explore and appreciate the natural world around them.
Materials: light-sensitive paper, leaves, pine needles, and other natural materials that children can use to create their photograms.
